All my life, one page at a time
I’ll show you my, my true colors
No, no no no I won’t apologize for the fire in my eyes
Let me show you my, my true colors, it ain’t no rainbow
Lyrics by Zedd, True Colors
As I was scraping away old paint of another canvas that suffered destruction from yours truly, I heard this song. No surprise music influences me greatly.
Yesterday was rough for me. I created many paintings that looked nice at first glance but once dried it look awful. I have also fallen off the 100 day creativity wagon challenge, too. You see some of those awful paintings were my experiment with new mediums as I enter the world of abstract multimedia art. I hadn’t been creating anything photo worthy so I didn’t post anything.
Listening to Zedd’s song basically was telling me why not? Why not show the cracked painting of failures of recreated new art. There is nothing to be ashamed of when you fail. Learning is a learning process. I Know but I’m onto something here. You will fall many times along the process. Why hide the failures and mistakes?
Embrace your true colors!
That’s what this blog is about. Tomorrow I will show failure pictures.
